There are a number of ways you can help Stepping Stones Cambodia. Whether assistance is in the form of fundraising and donations, volunteering or sponsorship the Stepping Stones Team truly appreciate your support.
Stepping Stones Cambodia is a financially independent charitable organisation and receives no government assistance or funding. We rely on fundraising, one off private and regular donations and sponsorship to keep our projects running.
Long term financial sustainability is essential to ensuring the future of First Steps School. Without the generous support from kind donors, we wouldn’t be able to help the community of Kok Thnot work towards a better future.

Teacher Sponsorship
As part of Stepping Stones’ belief that education is one of the keys to improving self sustainability, we actively encourage our team members to improve upon their existing knowledge and skills. As an organisation, we are dedicated to delivering quality over quantity and believe this starts at the top.
At present, First Steps School supports our four full time teachers to attend an internationally accredited English School in Siem Reap. This not only improves their English, but has dramatically increased their enthusiasm, confidence and motivation to provide the same high quality of teaching in their classrooms.
Trainee Teacher Sponsorship
The trainee teachers volunteering at First Steps School have to travel up to 2 hours by bicycle each day to complete their high school studies. They experience difficulty in continuing their studies as their families struggle to afford to send them to school. Although education is ‘free’ in Cambodia it does not include study materials – books, pens pencils, uniforms, examination fees. Each of our trainee teachers plays an important role at First Steps and within the community by setting a good example to the younger generations. In return for they contributions Stepping Stones Cambodia would like to assist them by providing a sponsorship for each trainee to continue their studies at secondary school.
Stepping Stones depends entirely on the help and support of kind donations from generous individuals, and has set up these sponsorship programs which aims to secure funding for our teachers and trainee teachers ongoing education.

If you are interested in visiting First Steps School, meeting our team and learning more about our projects, please email us at contact@steppingstonescambodia.org to arrange a visit. We coordinate visits to the school around the students’ timetable, in order to minimise disruption to classes.
